Royalties
As part of our BASIC ARTIST SERVICES package, we will set you up with Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) as a licensed writer/composer. This allows your musical compositions to be catalogued so that royalties can be paid to you for broadcast usage of your songs. BMI is one of three performing rights organizations that provide its type of service (the other two being SESAC and ASCAP). BMI represents approximately 300,000 songwriters, composers and music publishers in all genres of music. BMI collects license fees for the "public performances" of BMI-registered compositions - including radio airplay, broadcast and cable television carriage, Internet and live and recorded performances by all other users of music - and then distributes them as royalties to the writers, composers and copyright holders of the compositions.

BMI has represented such legendary creators as John Lennon, Chuck Berry, David Bowie (PRS), Milton Babbitt, Willie Nelson, The Eagles, Thelonious Monk, Carlos Santana, The Neville Brothers, The Beach Boys, Aretha Franklin, Waylon Jennings, Charles Ives, The Who, Eric Clapton (PRS), John Williams, The Bee Gees, and B.B. King, to name just a few.

The current BMI honor roll also includes Janet Jackson, Faith Hill, Sting (PRS), John Adams, Joshua Redman, Jennifer Lopez, Sheryl Crow, 'N Sync, Mike Post, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, David Yazbek, Bob Israel, Kid Rock, Elvis Crespo, Oasis (PRS), Sarah McLachlan, Steve Reich, Thomas Newman, and Evanescence, to highlight just a handful.

As part of our BASIC ARTIST SERVICES package, Godflower Music Co. will complete and file the paperwork to establish any and all writers and/or composers within your ministry who wish to register and publish their music through Godflower Records. Godflower Music Co. will then complete and file the paperwork for each original song you wish to register with BMI, with the information you provide. Your original compositions will be registered in YOUR name and you will retain all writer's / composer's rights to those compositions.
