As part of our BASIC ARTIST SERVICES package, we will complete and file your copyright, licensing, and publishing paperwork. This is the second step once you have been established as a BMI-affiliated writer / composer.
Godflower Music Co. will complete and file the paperwork for each original song you wish to register with BMI, with the information you provide. Your original compositions will be registered in YOUR name and you will retain all writer's / composer's rights to those compositions. Godflower Music Co. will be listed as the publisher.
Next, you need to make an audio recording of each composition. It does not necessarily have to be studio-quality. Once you supply us with a copy of your recording (on audio CD or cassette) and the printed lyrics (typewritten is preferred), we will file the copyright for those compositions in your name. You will receive confirmation of your copyright via United States Postal Service mail.
Finally, when you record your studio-quality project, Godflower Music Co. will publish the project. See PROJECT BENEFITS for more details.
